Chicky Chics Playgun has made a huge splash wherever he goes. In 3 partial breeding seasons we have had great customers with very nice mares. Thank you. We continue to get lots of inquires and we have successfully shipped semen to 7 states.

He has won NRHA Non-Pro Futurity money but has had very little showing.

His semen ships extremely well. We have Frozen semen available as well. His colts have been absolutely stunning! All have huge hips, small pretty heads and stand out as the exceptional colt when amongst other colts. See them on Horses for Sale.

Judging by the phone calls, visits and inquires on Chicky, he must be exactly what the public has been looking for in a son of Playgun. He has been the center of attention wherever he goes. (See photos of this famous stallion on Playgun's Page).

Chicky is powerfully built, stands 14-3 hh (59"), weighs 1200 lbs, has an enormous hip, a short back, straight legs, pretty head, an unbelievable disposition, athletic talent second to none, that beautiful gray color, and a pedigree that shouts performance. These attributes are all very evident in his get.

His dam, Cruella Deville by Smart Chic Olena has won $27,398 NCHA and the last time she won money she was 16 years old. Her dam by Peppy San Badger, has produced winners of $102,754 NCHA and NRHA and 203.5 AQHA Points.

Chicky is proving to be everything we wanted; a big big stopper, a flat smooth powerful turner, very soft in every way with extreme trainability and the heart of a winner.

Chics Playgun

In 2008 & 2009 we saw some very quality mares with NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA money earners in his book. Among these mares are own daughters of Smart Chic Olena, Freckles Playboy, Zack T Wood, Badgers Oak, Skeets Peppy, Doc O'Lena, Smartest Little Pep, Fannys Oskar, Quannah Olena and Doc's Oak. We look forward to another premium foal crop in 2010.

We are opening his book in 2010 and offer

  • On-site Breeding by AI.
  • Cooled Shipped Semen (with the first shipment included in the fee).
  • Frozen Semen.

In 2010 his fee is $750 (which includes a $100 booking fee, or $400 at breeding and $400 at foaling, or $900 at foaling.

Mare care is $7.50 per day ($10 for nursing mares) in an outdoor pen. Group pens are available as well. We have our own ultrasound machine to expedite breeding of your mare on site. This service is included in breeding fees.

Shipped semen is shipped free for the first shipment; subsequent shipments are $150 by Fed Ex Next Day Air.

We believe that the value of a Stallion should be determined by the sale of his colts.

The rule of thumb is that the colts should sell as weanlings and yearlings for double to triple the breeding fee. Today, most stallions are not achieving this. Chics Playguns' colts are doing this rather handily. Enough said.
